Malaak NGO
Role: Volunteer
During my volunteer work with Malaak NGO, I played an active role in supporting their efforts to assist refugees in Akkar, Lebanon by contributing to a range of meaningful activities. One of my key responsibilities was helping to prepare over 50 care packages, which were filled with essential food items and other necessities. These packages were crucial in providing much-needed support to refugee families, ensuring they had access to basic sustenance during challenging times.
In addition, I assisted in organizing and leading afternoon activities for children who were affected by the crisis. This included providing them with toys and engaging them in educational games and activities designed to continue their learning outside of the traditional school environment. I also played a significant part in organizing and participating in gift distribution events, where we arranged and distributed toys and games for the children to play with.
By engaging with the children through these activities, I helped to create a positive and supportive environment that fostered both their emotional well-being and continued education. My time with Malaak was deeply fulfilling, as it allowed me to make a tangible difference in the lives of those who needed it most, while also gaining valuable experience in humanitarian work and community service.
